Starting in January there have been many festivals, expo's and different shows on the beach that have been good creative outlets for us to enjoy. This last weekend we headed up to north beach and checked out their art festival on the boardwalk. The air was fun and festive and brought out many people from all over. The art itself..... lame! Not my taste thats for sure, but thats the beauty of art, it comes in all shapes, colors and styles. To each its own, if we all shared the same style and taste of art this world would indeed be bland. The Toms had a good time and look forward to the next festival on the beach. The Food and Wine show (put on by the Food channel) is hitting South Beach next week. Yum.

One thing about the south is the goodness of fresh brewed sweet tea. i usually am a non-sweetened tea drinker but in the south you can't pass up the goodness.
walking back to the car you can see the thunder clouds rolling in. as soon as we got in the heavens opened up and it poured, thundered and lightning lit the sky. it was awesome.
but it didn't take long before the sun crept back out

yeah- it looks so beautiful there and fun...though nothing beats family for sure. still, its cool you are getting the miami beach experience while you are there. your son is so cute i just want to eat him up.
