Visit with the Fam in P-town

We had a blast visiting family over the week & a 1/2 we were home. Tony and I both treasure the time we get to spend with our families. Now that we live far away the times we get to visit with our families seem to be a little sweeter.

Starting a couple months after Curtis was born we began a standing date with my grandma Donna Curtis's great-grandma, every Thursday at her place. Ever since Tony and I got married 7 years ago life has been busy, real busy. Jobs, school, friends and numerous other activities have filled
our days, nights and weekends making our lives rich, but a little chaotic.
All this to say that the relationship with my grandma was sacraficed. My
grandma never once complained about the lack of phone calls or face time all these years, she just seems to understand. All this to say that our dates on Thursdays have been so wonderful for me. Many people say that your life just gets busier once you have kids, but for me it seems to have slowed. Slowed in a way that every Thursday is my grandma day and nothing is more important for me to miss getting together with my grandma and watching her interact with Curtis. Actually, truth be told, Curtis usually sits in the highchair while us ladies chat the lunch hour away. While we were home for our short visit I got 2 g-ma Thursday's in and it was great!

Me with cousin Josh

Curtis getting some play time with his cousine Nicole. Nicole is my cousine Bekah's 2nd child. Nicole is 41/2 months and the younger sister of Josh (pictured above) who is 22 months old.

Curtis getting his love from grandpa and grandma Austin. As always it was great being with mom and dad. Nikki flew in from Reno for a weekend and we got to hang out for a couple days together which was fun. I saw Anna for a few hours here and there, she is in the midst of her senior year and quite busy. And the last but not least sister Lauree was greately missed but she is on the road being a rockstar right now as the production coordinator for the So you Think You Can Dance tour. You never know how much you love spending time with family and friends until their not a drive away.
